Recently, I have been working on a series called "White Line Compositions". I hope to arrive at something aesthetic and spiritual that creates awareness larger than myself. Because I have been working with oil, the drying time demands that I realize many works simultaneously. Geometry becomes a communicative tool, a scaffold to build upon. Circles, rectangles and triangles interplay and offer up infinite possibility. Transcendence, key to a successful work comes with simplicity, transparency and light.

Purity of form is an ideal pursuit and it couples with nuance of colour. I hope that my work invites association to other art , past and present. Clearly, associations occur with medieval armour and heraldry, but also makes reference to present day scientific discovery. I firmly believe that geometry provides a key to this larger world and delivers self knowledge.

Finding my own voice is my pursuit.
